How to use

Skincare products that contain active ingredients — such as retinoids, acids, antioxidants and other bio-actives — work at deeper levels in the skin (including the dermis). Because they influence cell behaviour and structural pathways, they take time to deliver their full effect. Visible changes often begin within the first few weeks, but optimal results generally require consistent use over 6–12 weeks or longer.

Start Slowly — Titrate Usage

Our formulas are potent by design and should be introduced gradually to allow your skin to adapt (a process often referred to as titration). Begin by using the active product twice a week, paired with a gentle moisturiser. As your skin builds tolerance, you can progressively increase frequency until comfortable daily use is achieved.

This cautious approach helps minimise initial sensitivity — such as mild tingling, dryness or flaking — while preserving long-term benefits.

Recommended Routine

Morning

  1. Glowlux or Bright Eyes
  2. Your favourite moisturiser
  3. Broad-spectrum SPF 50 sunscreen (non-negotiable with active ingredients)

Evening

  1. Silky Smooth
  2. Moisturiser

Apply active products after cleansing and before heavier creams. Always follow with moisturiser to support the skin barrier and reduce irritation.

Important Safety Notes

  • Pregnancy: Retinoids, including retinols, should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
  • Possible Sensations: Some users may experience tingling or mild itchiness (e.g., with TXA-containing formulas), temporary acne flares or “purging” with retinoids, and occasional sensitivity — especially in the early weeks.
  • Adjust If Needed: If your skin feels too reactive, reduce application frequency to allow your skin time to acclimate, then increase again as tolerated.
  • Allergic Reaction: Discontinue use immediately if you see signs of an allergic reaction (significant redness, swelling, intense itching) and consult a healthcare professional.
